Torreon Names Eric Rippey Executive Chef

Torreon’s Sous Chef Eric Rippey has been promoted to Executive Chef. Raised here in the White Mountains, Chef Eric has held several executive chef and sous chef positions across Arizona at Nico Heirloom Kitchen, Queen Creek Olive Mill, Bar Vinedo, Hen House Café, Francine and North Italia. He specializes in Mediterranean, French, and Italian cuisine, and welcomes this opportunity to return to the natural beauty of the White Mountains. 

Chef Eric enjoys the outdoors, fishing, hiking and hunting as well as photography and gardening…he has quite a green thumb. He started cooking at an early age – about three years old – and knew by the time he was 15 he wanted to become a Chef. 

His goal for Torreon is to be the best on the mountain and deliver an elevated culinary experience unlike anything else in the area. Chef Eric has already been hard at work upgrading the Torreon Grille menu for 2025. 

The Grille is anticipated to reopen on March 14th at 5 p.m. and reservations can be made at Torreon.com
