Torreon Courses Honored by Golfweek

3 Min Read

Desert Troon Companies, a Scottsdale-based real estate development and investment firm, is proud to announce that both courses at Torreon Golf Club have earned national recognition from Golfweek, with the Cabin Course ranked No. T176 and the Tower Course ranked No. T192 on Golfweek’s 2026 Best 200 Residential Courses list.

Landing one course on Golfweek’s prestigious list is an honor; landing two is a statement, reinforcing Torreon’s reputation as one of Arizona’s premier residential golf destinations.

“This national recognition is a proud moment for Torreon’s ownership, members, and associates,” said Caleb Blass, PGA, General Manager of Torreon Golf Club. “It’s a testament to the exceptional setting, thoughtful design, and dedicated teams who make Torreon a truly special place to play, and to call home.”

Located in Show Low in northeastern Arizona, Torreon offers 36 holes of Championship golf designed by internationally acclaimed architect Robert Von Hagge, alongside Mike Smelek and Rick Baril. Nestled within the largest stand of ponderosa pines in the nation, Torreon delivers a serene, high-altitude golf experience with mild four-season temperatures just three hours from Phoenix.

The Cabin Course, finished in 2007, is known for its tighter layout, elevation changes, and strategic hazards that challenge accuracy and precision. The Tower Course, opened in 1999, features lush, rolling fairways, dramatic rock outcroppings, seven lakes, and extensive bunkering that create a visually striking and dynamic round.

Golfweek’s rankings are determined by more than 800 elite course raters, who collectively submit over 70,000 evaluations annually using 10 rigorous criteria that assess design, conditioning, playability, and overall experience.

With both courses earning spots on Golfweek’s 2026 list, Torreon continues to strengthen its position as a top residential golf community in Arizona and a compelling story for prospective homeowners, members, and visitors alike.
