3 Min Read

Looking to get out and golf, but find yourself limited to only a few short months of good weather on your usual course? We’ve found seven top destinations around the country for those who want to golf nearly year-round with mild weather and stunning scenery.

Torreon Golf Club (Show Low, AZ)

Situated against the backdrop of the gorgeous White Mountains in northern Arizona, Torreon is one of the premier golf courses in the region, with 36 holes of beautiful fairways and ponderosa pine dotted landscape unlike any other you’ll find. With mild four seasons in Show Low, Torreon offers a great golf experience from early spring through late fall. And unlike many other Arizona courses, it is perfect to play throughout the summer. There is also a resort and high-caliber restaurant within the golf club itself, with endless amenities, tequila tastings and opportunities to improve your game.

La Quinta Mountain Course (Palm Springs, CA)

The constant sunshine, low humidity and comfortable temperatures put Palm Springs at the top of the list for best golf destinations. La Quinta offers five spectacular courses including a “Golf Week Top 100 in the US” course with dramatic views of the picturesque Santa Rosa Mountains that overlook it. La Quinta offers Group Golfing as well as first-rate instruction at its PGA West Golf Academy.

Troon North (Scottsdale, AZ)

As one of the most popular golf escapes in the world, Scottsdale offers countless courses of all sizes and affordability. One of the area’s premier locations is Troon North, with two 18-hole courses stretching through the natural ravines and foothills in the shadows of Pinnacle Peak. Recent course renovations created two new layouts for the club for challenging and exciting desert play.

Maderas Golf Club (Poway, CA)

Located near San Diego, which has some of the most consistent and enjoyable weather year-round, Maderas winds through the cliffs, creeks and forests of north San Diego. The course layout is challenging, but fair, and the fairways are in pristine condition. The club offers excellent customer service.

Golf Club of Estrella (Goodyear, AZ)

Estrella’s par 72, 18-hole championship golf course features spacious greens and split-level fairways. The award-winning Nicklaus Design course flows along the contours of the land, allowing washes and hillsides to remain in a pristine state. Consistently ranked as one of the top 20 public courses in Arizona by Golfweek, the course is undoubtedly one of the best in the Valley. Golfers of all ages and abilities are sure to have a fun day of golf at Estrella, surrounded by spectacular panoramic views of the Sierra Estrella Mountains.

Fallen Oak Golf Course (Saucier, MS)

Lose yourself amongst the thousands of oaks, magnolias, pines and other trees that lie within the Mississippi wetlands and streams. This 18-hole course measures 7,487 yards from the longest tees. A huge water oak serves as your target off the tee. The best times of year to visit Biloxi for golfing are from early April to mid-May and from late September to early November.

Tiburon Golf Club (Naples, FL)

You’ll find warm temperatures year-round in Naples, Florida, with average temperatures around a perfect 75 degrees. Tiburon Golf Club features two 18-hole, Greg Norman-designed golf courses that play to a par of 72 and feature five sets of tees. It’s home to the LPGA Tour's CME Group Tour Championship.
